To Scale Your Business You Need Clarity And Intention
More specifically, you need to understand that there’s only one person that’s in the driver’s seat and that’s you. All too often in entrepreneurship, especially given the rise of social media, do entrepreneurs fall into the trap of the comparison.
The hustle culture tricks you into running a race that you never wanted to run. And so you run your business and life into the ground because you have blinders on.
Now obviously, you have to work hard to succeed. You won’t have much luck scaling unless you work hard.
Most entrepreneurs have NO problem with this…
…But this alone does not make an entrepreneur succeed.
You also need to give yourself space from the hustle and grind so you can create clarity and set intentions.
This is where you’ll find all your answers…not on social media , a coaching course, an event, or anywhere else you look.
And I would say that most entrepreneurs know this.
But here’s where most go wrong…
You need to trust yourself to sit in silence long enough to find that clarity.
Before you address “the how”, you need to look at why everything is happening inside your business and life…You need to address the underlying relationships with yourself and your business…
Because there is no use for building a business for a life you cannot live.
I consider entrepreneurs professional athletes because the game changes every day. Now, if you want to make it through the challenges so you can be here for the long game, you need to gain clarity and intention with everything you do. And arguably these are the most important skills to develop as an entrepreneur.
It’s where you learn to trust your intuition more and play the long game.
I know it sounds counterintuitive…
But trust me, taking space to gain clarity is the most powerful secret there is to entrepreneurship.
Here’s how you do it:
Completely unplug from everything in your life so you can clear your mind of the chaos. Make sure to relocate yourself away from the usual place you operate in on a day to day basis.
Take 10-15 minutes to reflect on a walk. After you take a walk, grab a piece of paper and a pen and start listing out every thing that you believe is standing in your way.
At first, you’ll notice resistance and feelings, but that is the gift. Keep writing and trusting yourself in this process. Once you do this, you’ll begin to develop an awareness to your obstacles which will lead to clarity so you can start mapping out a plan to overcome what is in front of you.
If you do this every time you face a problem, you’ll find clarity.
Before you fall into the hustle and grind mentality for 2023, try this exercise and see what happens when you finally give yourself space.
